Description
The Historic White Horse Inn has been satisfying the appetites of their customers since 1850, making it the oldest restaurant in the Great Lakes State. In fact, the Inn was delivering delicious, traditional dishes a mere thirteen years after Michigan became a state!
Dinner in their unique and rustic dinning room is nothing less than a delight. Whether your tastes run towards their White Horse Signature Salad, St. Louis Style BBQ Ribs or Tenderloin Filet Mignon, excellent seafood such as their Crusted Atlantic Salmon, Flash Fried Calamari, "High Street" Scallops or their famous All-you-can-eat Fish & Chips, you're sure to sit back after your meal with a smile on your face...and then comes dessert! Old fashioned Apple Stack Pie with Ray's Cinnamon ice cream or a slice of Big Fat Chocolate cake are just two of the scrumptious choices they offer.
The Detroit Free Press awarded the Historic Whitehorse Inn "three stars" in its review of the restaurant, noting that: "Their menu is a delight", "desserts are spectacular", and that the "flash fried calamari was the best we've eaten". High praise, indeed, and well deserved.
The Historic White Horse Inn features more than just great food as well. Make a reservation for a proper luncheon in Miss Lucy's Tea Room, sign up for one of their fun and educational cooking classes, or, depending on the season, take a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh ride as part of one of their dinner specials for some old fashioned fun.
And just for fun, see if you can spot Lorenzo, the Inn's playful ghost...
